The idea for this performance was born in collaboration with the children, as part of a close-knit creative team.
Every theatrical piece in this class-concert is a result of the participants’ own initiative. The children themselves brought in the material they wanted to work with — we simply helped shape it into a meaningful and cohesive theatrical experience.
The foundation of this class-concert lies in the theatrical exercises of buffoonery and imitation.
Buffoonery is an acting technique known for its vibrant comedic flair.
It relies on bold exaggeration, sharply emphasized physical features of the character, and the high energy of the performer.
Imitation is a theatre exercise based on the precise replication of another performer — whether a singer or a speaker. Simply put, a soundtrack is played, and the actor conveys the mood, accuracy, and subtle nuances of the original performer. We believe this exercise is an excellent path toward becoming a professional artist.
The children did a brilliant job — and the result is what you will see in the performance “NEXT GENERATION.”
The storyline of the show follows one full day in the life of teenagers.
It begins with a reluctant morning wake-up — a moment familiar to all of us — and flows into the daily routine.
School, with its attitudes and struggles (many of which we, adults, have already forgotten!), gives way to a colorful world of hobbies, challenges, and emotions.
The day ends with an explosion of energy and joy — that unstoppable drive only children possess — where they are truly and utterly free!
